Connect.
Bring Afghan girls and women together with volunteer educators around the world, and help cover the internet access that connects them to class.
Generation of Change is a volunteer-driven community helping Afghan girls and women continue their education through online learning, academic connections, and internet access support.
Generation of Change grew out of a shared desire to stand with Afghan girls and women denied access to in-person education under the Taliban’s policies. Volunteers from around the world came together to help them continue learning online.
GOC is a community of learners, volunteer educators, teachers, and teaching assistants. We facilitate online learning, build academic connections, and offer practical support so that distance and financial hardship do not have to end an education.
We believe education can help break cycles of poverty and oppression. Our work is guided by hope, empathy, and solidarity with Afghan girls and women as they pursue their own futures.
To help Afghan girls and women continue their education beyond the barriers they face, through volunteer-led online learning and the internet access that makes participation possible.
A place in an online class is only useful when a learner can connect. GOC’s fundraising has focused on covering internet costs for Afghan students, teachers, and teaching assistants, bridging a practical barrier between people and education.

Facilitate online learning, share knowledge, and build academic connections when in-person education is out of reach.
Support learners as they build confidence, pursue their aspirations, and shape their own futures through education.
